How the Resume Aging Detector works

- 2See exactly what dates your CV — obsolete tech, clichés, old formatting and phrasing.
- 3Apply modern replacements so your CV reads current — nothing invented.
Resume aging FAQ
Does my resume look outdated?
That's exactly what this checks. We scan for the signals that make a CV read dated — obsolete technologies, clichés like 'references available on request', an old 'Objective' statement, very old dates and dated formatting — then show you each one so you can decide what to modernise.
Does it change my facts or hide my age?
No. It never rewrites your history or invents anything — your employers, dates and achievements stay exactly as you wrote them. It only flags dated wording and suggests modern replacements, and frames decades of experience as depth rather than something to bury. You approve every change.
Is it free, and is my CV kept private?
You can build a CV and see a sample result with no sign-up. Running the full scan on your own CV is a PRO add-on (€12/month or €79/year). Your CV is used only to run this check — never sold or shared.
What makes a CV look dated?
Common tells: obsolete tools and languages listed as headline skills, buzzwords like 'synergy' or 'go-getter', an 'Objective' line, a full street address, 'references available on request', and listing every job back decades with equal detail. We flag them and suggest current alternatives.
