How the GDPR check works

  1. 1Pick a CV you built here — or import one from PDF, Word or LinkedIn.
  2. 2See the personal data flagged on your CV — date of birth, photo, marital status and more.
  3. 3Remove whatever you'd rather not share in one click — the rest of your CV stays exactly as you wrote it.

GDPR CV FAQ

What personal data should I leave off an EU CV?

Across the EU, best practice is to leave off anything that invites bias instead of judging your work: date of birth, a photo, marital status, gender, nationality, your national ID number and your full home address. None of it shows whether you can do the job, yet it quietly shapes how your application is read. Our check flags each of these fields whenever it finds them.

Does removing this data really help with bias and privacy?

Yes. Every field you drop is one less proxy a recruiter can screen on — age, appearance, family situation — which is exactly why many EU HR teams now prefer anonymised, photo-free CVs. It also keeps sensitive personal data out of applicant-tracking systems and inboxes you don't control. You decide what to share; the check just shows you what's currently exposed.

Is the GDPR check free? Do I need an account?

Yes — it's completely free, with no sign-up needed to start. Import or build a CV and run the check right away: there's nothing to pay, ever. It's deterministic and instant, so you see results the moment you pick a CV.

Is my CV kept private?

Yes. The check runs on your CV alone, only to spot the personal fields listed above — your data is never sold or shared. Nothing about your CV leaves this process, and you're always the one who chooses what to remove.
